Microbiology Assessment Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2750 words
Microbiology Assessment - Assignment Example Similarly, S. aureus is also involved in many foodborne illnesses. It is highly salt tolerant and may survive in cheeses and foods with high salt content. Salmonella is notorious for its pathogenic properties in relation to food. It can survive strongly in desiccated conditions and is present in a number of foods like eggs, meat, milk and vegetables. Therefore, it is important to study the internal and external conditions of food so that the food infections may be controlled and quality of food be maintained. The growth and metabolic behavior of food-borne pathogens is highly dependent upon intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Therefore, it is mandatory to examine the environmental conditions for the control and elimination of pathogen-associated risks in food. The microbiological safety and food quality is largely dependent upon the detailed analysis of such factors. In view of Ross and Mckeen (1994, p. 241-264), the response of microorganisms to external and internal environmental factors forms the basis of predictive microbiology. In this study, three food-borne pathogens such as E. coli O157:H7, S. aureus and Salmonella are examined in relation to their survival in respective environmental conditions so that food safety and microbiological quality of food maybe ensured. Acid incorporation into foods as a mechanism of lowering the pH is an essential food preservation method. Low pH prevents the growth of spoilage organisms. Moreover, reduction in water activity is employed as a food preservation method. Therefore, we can say that low aW and decreased pH, are important elements involved in stability of foods having longer shelf life. However, the safety of current food techniques has been challenged by the release of E. coli O157:H7 infections from foods that were thought to be too acid rich that no enteric pathogen could have been survived. This has also changed the general perception that the conditions under which

Man For All Seasons By Robert Bolt - Henry VIII :: English Literature
Man For All Seasons By Robert Bolt - Is Henry VIII an important character in the play? Is he the villain? Thomas More was the hero in the play because his standard up for his beliefs, he was not scared of anyone, he knows it was a sin if Henry VIII divorced Catherine of Aragon and gets married to Anne Boleyn. Robert Bolt thinks Thomas More was a faithful Catholic and could not accept this, or swear the oath of loyalty to the king. Henry VIII wanted to get a divorce with Catherine of Aragon and get married to Anne Boleyn. In the eye of the Catholics he could not divorce Catherine of Aragon. Henry VIII wants his children inherited the throne; he introduced the act of succession and made himself head of the Church of England. When Henry VIII made Thomas More the Lord Chancellor, Henry VIII expected Thomas More to support him but Thomas More did not support him. Thomas More did not like the idea of Henry VIII getting divorce. Thomas More resigned as Lord Chancellor because he did not want to give Henry VIII a divorce so he resigns. Thomas More found it impossible to support the king in the end because Thomas More knew it was the wrong thing to do. Thomas Cromwell part played in the downfall of Thomas More was planning all the evidence and make sure he dies. Thomas Cromwell want Thomas More to come over to the king's side, Thomas more did not come over to the king's side so Thomas Cromwell said he had to get rid of him. But Thomas Cromwell and Duke of Norfolk are trying to get Thomas More killed, they are trying to find the person that gave Thomas More a cup for a bribe and they try to convict him of treason. I think Henry VIII was Thomas More's friend because Henry VIII did not want to put Thomas More on the rack. As we saw earlier in the Garden scene, Henry VIII has come to put pressure on Thomas More he wanted Thomas More to sort out the business with the divorce with Catherine of Aragon. He use a number of different techniques, first he tries to scare him by shouting at him but he also appeal's to be a friend. Henry VIII said he was joking but we know he was bulling him. Henry VIII use originates from the bible but it does not work, because Thomas More knows the bible inside out. There is a scene in the video which is missing in the book, it's when Henry VIII is having a party

Which season is your favorite
Which season is your favorite? Why? Would have to say that summer is my favorite season of all. First off, it means that school is out and can do whatever I want. Next, it means that there are more daylight hours to enjoy. And thirdly, summer is a time to enjoy being outside in the warm sunshine. Summer is my favorite season of all because of these reasons. First of all, summer is when school is out and can spend all my time playing both outside and in. My parents encourage me to get out in the sunlight as much as possible and this is fine since my friends ND through the woods outside our neighborhood.Of course, it rains quite frequently in the summer as well, so we usually try to hang out in one another's houses. We always have a great time together in the summer, because we have all the time we need to have fun. Another thing that makes summer my favorite season Of all is that there's more daylight hours to enjoy. The sun stays out longer, usually sometime after eight in the evenin g. This means that there's a lot more lay and get a suntan, so long as I don't do it for too long, don't want to get burned. The sun is the reason why we go out and it just means we can be out longer during the summer. The last reason is that it's the warmest time of year for us and we don't get very much warm weather where we come from. For most of the year, its usually cool and wet or cold and icy. We only have three months of reprieve from the chill and wet and that is summer. When my neighbors and want to celebrate the summer, we go out, have barbecues, or just sit and talk outside. This is a good thing to do at night, when the heat of the day lingers in the night air.So the warmth of he summer air is a rare treat for us and we relish It when it comes around each year. So summer is my favorite season of all because it's the time of year that really puts together everything I like to do and experience. There's no school in the summer so we can really have all the fun we want durin g the day. There's more daylight during the day so there's more day to enjoy. And the warmth of summer is something we only have a limited time to enjoy throughout the rest of the wetter, colder parts of the year for us. That's why summer is my favorite season.

Leadership Action Plan For Developing And Marinating A...
Hopkins ID: C2D4DE Leadership action plan The most important aspect of leadership that I will work on improving is developing and marinating a wide social network. Throughout my life, I could not build any relationship on grounds of self-interest. I and my 4 other siblings were raised on the idea that knowing people on the basis of pursuing a selfish advantage is completely unethical and unacceptable. During my career, I cannot count how many bridges I burned behind me. Obviously., I did not distinguish between Friendship and professional networking. As it is easy for me to make friends, as it is extremely difficult to make a professional network. Also, it is hard for me to ask for favors even from the closest friend, except If Iâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦I will be working to build my operational, personal and strategic networks. By mixing my personal and professional relationship, I will be able to get over the difficulty that I have had in investing in a professional networking. Although, I still have some points that I disagree with Roizen especially in her advice to how to develop and maintain a network for example she stated that we should connect to people when all will benefit, but absolutely, I will use some of Roizen strategies as giving people a reason to want a relationship with me. Also, I will get involved in conferences, dinner parties which I previously thought it is a waste of time, but as we learned in class that all encounters are opportunities to expand and diverse my network. Additionally, I will build ties before I need them and before all, I will do my homework, by learning, what I will bring to the network, how to reciprocate and what currency the other person value. By doing the mentioned steps, I will be able to build and maintain a broad network. Another aspect of leadership that I will work on improving is to be consistent in thinking about any situation can be approached from multiple perspectives that exist and coexist, across and within individuals. I used to think about any moral situation I faced as either right or wrong, black or white. In retrospect, thinking about those situations, I realized that I was facing the right-right decision conflict, where equally moral principles are
